How Wlbr works.

Agree it. Fund it. Wlbr it.

Wlbr puts the payment safely in the middle, so neither side has to take the first risk.

Either party can create the payment. The buyer funds it, the seller can see it’s secured, and the funds are only released when both sides approve.

The Full Process

From agreement to release.

  1. Placeholder image

    Step 1: Agree it

Agree on the price, what’s being provided and any milestones or release conditions.

Either party can create the payment in Wlbr and invite the other person to review and accept it.

  2. Placeholder image

    Step 2: Fund it

The buyer funds the payment securely through their own banking environment.

The funds move into Wlbr’s dedicated client trust account rather than going straight to the seller.

  3. Placeholder image

    Step 3: Know it’s there

Both sides can see when the payment has been funded.

The seller has confidence the funds are secured. The buyer knows they remain protected until the agreed release.

  4. Placeholder image

Step 4: Get on with it

With the payment secured, both sides can move forward.

The seller completes the work, provides the service or prepares the item for handover. The buyer reviews what has been agreed.

If milestones are being used, each stage is completed and approved separately.

  5. Placeholder image

    Step 5: Release it

Once both parties approve a payment or milestone, Wlbr releases the approved funds to the seller’s New Zealand bank account, less the applicable Wlbr fee.

If milestones are being used, only the approved amount is released. The remaining balance stays securely held.

Protection works both ways.

Better for the person paying. Better for the person getting paid.

For Buyers

Pay without taking the first risk.

Fund the payment without sending the funds straight to the seller.

You can see they’re safely held until the agreed work, service or handover is approved.

Where your money sits

Don’t take our word for it.Follow the funds.

When a payment is funded, the funds don’t become Wlbr’s and they don’t go straight to the seller.

They’re held separately in a dedicated NZD client trust account at BNZ until there is an agreed reason for them to move.

  • Dedicated client trust account

Client funds are held separately from Wlbr’s operating funds.

  • Bank-to-bank payments

Payments are authorised through the buyer’s own banking environment using Akahu open banking.

  • Independent backstop

Wlbr is a registered New Zealand financial service provider and a member of FSCL, an independent dispute resolution scheme.
